Nicole Moress - Owner
Nicole's passion for fitness and wellness started at a young age growing up in the mountains of Salt Lake City. Nicole has always led an active lifestyle; mountain biking, hiking, lifting weights, camping, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Nicole ran her first marathon, The Marine Corps Marathon, in 2008 and has completed a number of half marathons, 10k, and 5k races.
After working a number of years in the corporate world of commercial real estate development, filled with high stress and long hours, Nicole realized that her health and quality of life were suffering and she wanted to shift her focus back to a healthy way of living and share her passion with others.
While working full time, Nicole studied and tested for her NASM personal training certification. She then pursued her passion and became a personal trainer & coach traveling to people's homes and places of business.
After spending a number of months as a personal trainer, yoga was another passion she decided to pursue. After a rigorous yoga teacher training with Inner Power Yoga in Sterling, VA Nicole obtained her RYT-200 yoga certification.
Nicole has expanded her yoga education to study with Warriors at Ease to focus specifically on offering Trauma Informed Yoga and meditation to Combat Veterans and active military. Dr. William Nash
hired Nicole to teach him yoga - he was leading research with the Marine Corps on other options for Combat Veterans and Active Military members who were experiencing PTSD, Moral Injury and TBI.
Dr. Nash opened Nicole to a world that spoke to her and found such a passion for helping Veterans that she also went to USC to attend a conference on Moral Injury headed by Dr. Nash and Dr. Rita Brock. Dr. Brock is Senior Vice President and Director of the Shay Moral Injury Center at Volunteers of America. Nicole was the only person in her industry in attendance. Continuing her work today, Nicole offers at no cost Trauma Informed yoga to Combat Veterans and Active Military members.
Nicole's training is RESEARCHED based. The world of trendy workouts, the latest fads and quick fixes are not part of her repertoire. Working with perimenopausal and menopausal female athletes is Nicole's focus. Helping middle aged women and beyond navigate the effects of hormones, nutrition and training by educating her clients on the best way to fuel, train and change their mindset to overcome perceived obstacles.
